Trevia (Sitagliptin Tablets USP 100 mg)
Trevia 100 mg contains Sitagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor designed to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It functions by protecting incretin hormones from degradation, which in turn signals the pancreas to produce more insulin and the liver to produce less glucose. It is intended for use alongside diet and exercise to manage glycemic levels. This medication is not suitable for patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Side effects may include nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, and headache.
