Febo-G 80 contains 80 mg of Febuxostat, a potent xanthine oxidase inhibitor used for the chronic management of hyperuricemia in adult patients with gout. It works by reducing the production of uric acid in the body to prevent the formation of urate crystals in the joints. This higher-strength formulation is typically indicated for patients who have not achieved target serum uric acid levels with lower doses. It is not intended for the treatment of acute gout flares, and patients may initially experience an increase in flares when starting therapy. Regular monitoring of liver function and uric acid levels is recommended during treatment.
