Febo-G 40 (Febuxostat Tablets 40mg)
Xanthine oxidase inhibitor; 40 mg Febuxostat tablets for chronic management of hyperuricemia in gout.
Febo-G 40 (Febuxostat Tablets 40mg)
Febo-G contains 40 mg of Febuxostat, a potent, non-purine selective inhibitor of xanthine oxidase. It works by reducing the production of uric acid in the body. It is primarily indicated for the chronic management of hyperuricemia in adult patients with gout who have an inadequate response to a maximally tolerated dose of allopurinol, who are intolerant to allopurinol, or for whom treatment with allopurinol is inappropriate. It is not recommended for the treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia. Patients may experience an increase in gout flares during the initiation of treatment. Common side effects include liver function abnormalities, nausea, joint pain, and rash.
