Arpimune ME 50 Cyclosporine Capsules USP 50 mg

Arpimune ME 50 contains 50 mg of Cyclosporine (USP), an immunosuppressant that works by inhibiting T-lymphocyte activation through calcineurin inhibition. It is primarily used to prevent organ rejection in liver, kidney, and heart transplants. It is also indicated for severe cases of rheumatoid arthritis and plaque psoriasis that haven't responded to conventional therapies. Patients require regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and drug blood levels. Common side effects include tremors, increased hair growth, high blood pressure, and gingival hyperplasia (gum swelling). Avoid grapefruit juice while on this medication as it can significantly increase blood levels and toxicity risk.
